"What If . . . ?" — A Spiritual Gifts Seminar-September 26 & October 3
Registration closes Friday, September 18
  • You've been told God gave you gifts. This seminar tells you which ones.
  • Over two Sabbaths, we work through the EQUIP spiritual gifts curriculum in four sessions. The morning messages are open to everyone with no registration required. The afternoon sessions are where the work happens — a personal spiritual gifts inventory, and a DISC profile showing how you're wired to work alongside other people. Even if you don’t join us for the afternoon seminar, the morning messages will hit you hard!

  • While the main service continues in the sanctuary, our students gather to work through the same message the adults are hearing — in open discussion rather than lecture. Questions are the point. Students who show up with doubts are in exactly the right room.
  • A leader announces the dismissal at the appropriate point in the service and students move to the youth room — the front left classroom off the sanctuary.

  • Men of God is our men's group, and this fall it's starting a new season — one the men themselves are building.
  • Monday, September 14 — Mastermind, 6:15 p.m. A working session to shape how this ministry runs and where it's headed this fall. Not a meeting to sit through; a meeting to build. Whatever comes out of that room becomes the season.
  • Monday, September 21 — First Official Meeting, 6:15 p.m. The opening gathering of the new season. Details follow the Mastermind.
  • New attendees are always welcome.

Food Distribution

In partnership with Midwest Food Bank, Naples Seventh-day Adventist Church distributes groceries to our neighbors once each month. This ministry has served the Naples community for six years.

If you need food

  • Come at 4:00 p.m. Drive through our porte cochere and we'll place a box straight into your trunk. Walking or riding a bike? You're just as welcome — you don't need a car to receive food. There is no registration, no paperwork, and no documentation of any kind required. First come, first served, until the boxes are gone.
  • We'll also ask if there's anything you'd like prayer for. If there is, we'll pull to the side and pray with you right then. If not, that's completely fine — the food is yours either way.

If you would like to help

  • Tuesday, September 8, 12:00 p.m. — Truck unloading. We need 2–3 people who can lift heavy boxes, for about 15–20 minutes. No sign-up required; just come to the church at noon.
  • Saturday, September 12, after worship — Bring a picnic-style sack lunch and eat with us in the Fellowship Room. Lunch isn't provided, so pack your own — and maybe one extra.
  • Saturday, September 12, 2:00 p.m. — Packing begins. No experience needed. Prefer to go home after service and return at 2:00? That works too.
  • Saturday, September 12, 4:00 p.m. — Distribution begins.
  • Everyone is welcome — come pack, pray, and help make a difference. Sign-ups aren't required, but they help us plan.

Food Distribution is held each month on the Saturday following the second Tuesday.

Saturday, August 22 — Pastor David Bracetti New Series: Kingdom Culture Message: "Choosing Servanthood” Mark 10:42-45 Part four of Kingdom Culture: Becoming the Church God Intended, a ten-week series calling every member to take ownership of our mission by living out the values of God's Kingdom in everyday life. In this passage, Jesus draws a hard line between how the world understands authority and how His Kingdom does. Among the nations, rulers lord power over people. Among His followers, the greatest are the ones who serve. It is one of the most direct challenges Christ ever issued to His disciples — and to us. Missed a week? Marlene Smith’s 90th Birthday Celebration August 29 @ 1:00pm Fellowship Room, At the church Join us in celebrating Marlene Smith's 90th birthday. Lunch is provided. No RSVP required. No gifts, please — cards are warmly welcomed. All ages, including our teens and young people, are invited to come and honor her. Youth Church-August 29 Approximately 11:30am, led by Andrew Krivda Youth Church meets on alternating Sabbaths during the worship hour. This student led worship experience is designed specifically for them, with teaching, discussion, and space to ask honest questions about faith. No registration is required and visiting students are always welcome. A leader announces the dismissal at the appropriate point in the service and students move to the youth room — the front left classroom off the sanctuary. Summer Women’s Bible Study Thursday 9/3 and 9/17 · 6:00 PM · 5050 Davis Blvd Led by Sharon Foster Two sessions remain in this summer's study, concluding September 17. The study uses an open-attendance format, meaning you can join at any point without having attended previous sessions. There is no preparation required and no commitment to attend every week. Bring a Bible; everything else is provided. Food Distribution Distribution: Saturday, September 12 · 4:00 PM Volunteer packing: Saturday, september 12 · 2:00 PM Truck offload: Tuesday, September 8 · 12:30 PM If you need food: In partnership with Midwest Food Bank, Naples Seventh-day Adventist Church distributes groceries to our neighbors once each month. This ministry has served the Naples community for six years. If you need food Distribution begins at 4:00 PM at the porte cochere on our property. You may drive through, walk up, or ride a bicycle — all are served equally. A vehicle is not required. Documentation is not required. There is no application, no proof of need, and no eligibility screening. Come as you are, and we will send you home with food. A prayer is offered with each person at the point of distribution. If you would like to help Volunteers gather at 2:00 PM to pack, immediately before distribution opens. No experience or prior sign-up is necessary — simply arrive and someone will put you to work. A second, smaller volunteer need comes earlier in the month: the Midwest Food Bank delivery truck arrives Tuesday, September 8 at 12:30 PM, and offloading takes approximately fifteen minutes. If you have flexibility midday on a weekday, text 941-877-5654 to be included. Because this distribution falls on Sabbath, the day begins with worship at 11:00 AM, followed by a bring-your-own sack lunch shared picnic-style in the Fellowship Room. Packing begins once lunch concludes. Serving on the Sabbath is not an interruption of our rest but an expression of its purpose. Isaiah 58 links genuine Sabbath-keeping directly to sharing bread with the hungry, and Christ Himself affirmed that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day. Men’s Ministry-Beginning September Mastermind SEssion-September 14 6:15pm First Official Meeting-September 21 6:15pm 2020 J&C Blvd, Naples FL follow signs to 2nd floor Men's Ministry returns this September. The September 14 mastermind is a working session to shape the direction, focus, and priorities of the ministry — men who want a voice in what this becomes should plan to be there. The first official meeting follows on September 21. Subscribe for updates: Men's Ministry Save the Date “What If...?” A Four-Part Seminar on How God Built You Saturdays, September 26 & October 3 Lunch 12:30–1:15 PM | Afternoon Sessions 1:30 PM (approximately 75–90 minutes) Registration requiredRegister Today What if I understood how God designed me — and were free to accept my gifts and use them to make a difference? What if I understood the way God made others to think and function differently than me? Would that change how I communicate with them? Would I appreciate them more? What if this church worked as a genuinely interdependent body? These are the questions this seminar exists to answer. Scripture is direct about this: every believer has been given something. Not the gifted few, not the naturally confident, not the people already on a platform — every one. Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, and 1 Peter 4 all say the same thing from different angles. What most of us have never had is help identifying what that something actually is. Afternoon Session — Saturday, September 26 Presented by Elder Rick New Completing the spiritual gifts identification process. This session helps each participant name the specific gifts God has entrusted to them and understand the purpose those gifts were given for. Afternoon Session — Saturday, October 3 Presented by Steve Krivda An exploration of the DISC profile and what it reveals about how you communicate, make decisions, and work alongside others. Understanding your own wiring — and recognizing that the people around you are wired differently — transforms how ministry teams function and dramatically reduces the friction that comes from misreading one another's intentions. What to Know Before You Register This is one seminar delivered over two Saturdays. Weekend two builds directly on weekend one, so participants should plan to attend both Sabbaths. Who can attend: Anyone who worships with us, high school age and older. Church membership is not required, and visitors are genuinely welcome. Lunch: Provided both Sabbaths by our Women's Ministry, 12:30–1:15 PM, immediately following the worship service. Childcare: Not available at this time. Saturday, August 15 — Pastor David Bracetti New Series: Kingdom Culture Message: "hospitality as mission” Romans 12:9-13 Week 3 of our current series, Kingdom Culture: Becoming the Church God Intended — ten weeks on what it looks like when a congregation takes real ownership of its mission and lives out the values of God's Kingdom in ordinary life. Paul writes hospitality as a command, not a mood. This Sabbath we look at what it costs, and what it opens. Missed a week? Saturday, August 8 — Pastor David New Series: Kingdom Culture Message: "The Culture of Encouragement” Hebrews 10:23-25 Hebrews calls the church to consider how to stir one another up toward love and good works — and not to give up meeting together. This week we look at what it takes for encouragement to move from an occasional kindness to the settled culture of a congregation. Part of our current series: Kingdom Culture: Becoming the Church God Intended — a ten-week study on what happens when every member takes ownership of the church's mission and lives out the values of God's Kingdom in everyday life. Visiting for the first time? Come as you are. Bible Study meets at 9:30 AM for all ages, and Divine Worship begins at 11:00 AM. Someone at the door will help you find your way. Food Distribution-August 15 Distribution: Saturday, August 15 · 4:00 PM Volunteer packing: Saturday, August 15 · 2:00 PM Truck offload: Tuesday, August 11 · 12:00 PM 5050 Davis Blvd, Naples, FL 34104 Open to anyone who arrives. First come, first served, until supplies run out. No registration and no documentation required. There is no application, no income check, and no paperwork. If you need food, come. Our distribution regularly falls on the Sabbath, and we hold it then on purpose. Isaiah 58 ties Sabbath-keeping directly to sharing bread with the hungry, and Jesus taught plainly that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:12). Serving our neighbors is not a break from holy time — it is one of the truest expressions of it. Volunteer With Us Tuesday, August 11 · 12:00 PM — Truck offload. Takes only 15 to 30 minutes. Come on a lunch break and be on your way. Saturday, August 15 · after worship — Lunch together in the Fellowship Room. Bring a picnic-style lunch and stay with us indoors between the service and packing. No need to go home and come back. Saturday, August 15 · 2:00 PM — Packing. Sorting and boxing before the doors open. Saturday, August 15 · 4:00 PM — Distribution. Greeting neighbors and handing out food. Saturday, August 1 — Pastor David New Series: Kingdom Culture Message: "Becoming the Church God Intended” 1 Corn 12:12-27 What separates a congregation that gathers from a congregation that changes its city? Over ten weeks, Pastor David examines the values that define life in God's Kingdom — belonging, encouragement, hospitality, servanthood, risk, legacy, compassion, and peace — and what changes when a church actually lives them. The series rests on one conviction: the mission of the church does not belong to its staff. It belongs to every member. It closes with The Church the City Cannot Ignore (Acts 2:42–47). Week 1 — August 1: "Everyone Matters" 1 Corinthians 12:12–27 Paul describes the church as a body, where every part is necessary and the parts that appear least significant are the ones God honors most. This opening message asks what it means to belong before it asks anything of you. All are welcome. No membership, background, or church experience required. Messages are available afterward on our website, YouTube, and podcast. Youth Church | August 1 (approx. 11:30am) | Youth Room Led this week by Tyler Krivda, all middle and high school students are dismissed from the 11:00 AM worship service following congregational prayer — a leader will direct them to the Youth Room. Parents, simply come to the main service; students will be guided from there. The format is conversation, not lecture. Students engage the same scripture being preached in the sanctuary and work through what it means for their own lives: school, friendships, family, and the decisions in front of them right now. Youth Church meets on alternating Sabbaths. August dates: 1st, 15th, and 29th. Summer Women’s Bible Study 1st & 3rd Thursdays | 6:00pm | 5050 Davis Blvd| Led by Sharon Foster An evening gathering for women of all ages centered on scripture, prayer, and community. No preparation required and no prior attendance needed — each session stands on its own. Bring a Bible if you have one; extras are available. August dates: August 6 and August 20 Community Food Distribution — August 11 & 15 Food Offloading: August 11 @ 12:00pm (15-20 mins) Packing & Handout: August 15 @ 2:00 PM & 4:00pm (following service) Our food distribution ministry provides groceries directly to families in the Naples community. It runs entirely on volunteers, and there is a role for every schedule and ability level. If you need food: Come to the church on Saturday, August 15 at 4:00 PM. Distribution is open to anyone who arrives — first come, first served, until supplies run out. No registration, documentation, or church membership required. You do not need to attend the service or contact us in advance. Just come. If you'd like to volunteer: Tuesday, August 11 — 12:00 PM: Delivery Offload The food delivery arrives at noon and volunteers are needed to unload it. Approximately 15–20 minutes. No experience necessary and no ongoing obligation. Sabbath, August 15 — 2:00 PM Packing, 4:00 PM Distribution Volunteers sort and pack grocery boxes at 2:00 PM, then distribute them at 4:00 PM. Families, youth, and first-time volunteers welcome. Advance sign-up helps us plan, but walk-in volunteers are never turned away. On serving during Sabbath hours: Scripture identifies acts of mercy as fitting for the Sabbath rather than in conflict with it. Isaiah 58 links genuine Sabbath observance directly to feeding the hungry, and Jesus taught plainly that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:12).
