Saturday, August 22 — Pastor David Bracetti
- Part four of Kingdom Culture: Becoming the Church God Intended, a ten-week series calling every member to take ownership of our mission by living out the values of God's Kingdom in everyday life.
- In this passage, Jesus draws a hard line between how the world understands authority and how His Kingdom does. Among the nations, rulers lord power over people. Among His followers, the greatest are the ones who serve. It is one of the most direct challenges Christ ever issued to His disciples — and to us.

Marlene Smith’s 90th Birthday Celebration
- Join us in celebrating Marlene Smith's 90th birthday. Lunch is provided. No RSVP required.
- No gifts, please — cards are warmly welcomed. All ages, including our teens and young people, are invited to come and honor her.
Youth Church-August 29
- Youth Church meets on alternating Sabbaths during the worship hour. This student led worship experience is designed specifically for them, with teaching, discussion, and space to ask honest questions about faith.
- No registration is required and visiting students are always welcome.
- A leader announces the dismissal at the appropriate point in the service and students move to the youth room — the front left classroom off the sanctuary.
Summer Women’s Bible Study
- Two sessions remain in this summer's study, concluding September 17.
- The study uses an open-attendance format, meaning you can join at any point without having attended previous sessions. There is no preparation required and no commitment to attend every week. Bring a Bible; everything else is provided.
Food Distribution
In partnership with Midwest Food Bank, Naples Seventh-day Adventist Church distributes groceries to our neighbors once each month. This ministry has served the Naples community for six years.
If you need food
- Distribution begins at 4:00 PM at the porte cochere on our property. You may drive through, walk up, or ride a bicycle — all are served equally.
- A vehicle is not required. Documentation is not required. There is no application, no proof of need, and no eligibility screening. Come as you are, and we will send you home with food. A prayer is offered with each person at the point of distribution.
If you would like to help
- Volunteers gather at 2:00 PM to pack, immediately before distribution opens. No experience or prior sign-up is necessary — simply arrive and someone will put you to work.
- A second, smaller volunteer need comes earlier in the month: the Midwest Food Bank delivery truck arrives Tuesday, September 8 at 12:30 PM, and offloading takes approximately fifteen minutes. If you have flexibility midday on a weekday, text 941-877-5654 to be included.
- Because this distribution falls on Sabbath, the day begins with worship at 11:00 AM, followed by a bring-your-own sack lunch shared picnic-style in the Fellowship Room. Packing begins once lunch concludes.
- Serving on the Sabbath is not an interruption of our rest but an expression of its purpose. Isaiah 58 links genuine Sabbath-keeping directly to sharing bread with the hungry, and Christ Himself affirmed that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.
Food Distribution is held each month on the Saturday following the second Tuesday.
Men’s Ministry-Beginning September
- Men's Ministry returns this September. The September 14 mastermind is a working session to shape the direction, focus, and priorities of the ministry — men who want a voice in what this becomes should plan to be there. The first official meeting follows on September 21.

Save the Date “What If...?”
Saturdays, September 26 & October 3 Lunch 12:30–1:15 PM | Afternoon Sessions 1:30 PM (approximately 75–90 minutes) Registration required
- What if I understood how God designed me — and were free to accept my gifts and use them to make a difference?
- What if I understood the way God made others to think and function differently than me? Would that change how I communicate with them? Would I appreciate them more?
- What if this church worked as a genuinely interdependent body?
These are the questions this seminar exists to answer.
Scripture is direct about this: every believer has been given something. Not the gifted few, not the naturally confident, not the people already on a platform — every one. Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, and 1 Peter 4 all say the same thing from different angles. What most of us have never had is help identifying what that something actually is.

Completing the spiritual gifts identification process. This session helps each participant name the specific gifts God has entrusted to them and understand the purpose those gifts were given for.

An exploration of the DISC profile and what it reveals about how you communicate, make decisions, and work alongside others. Understanding your own wiring — and recognizing that the people around you are wired differently — transforms how ministry teams function and dramatically reduces the friction that comes from misreading one another's intentions.
What to Know Before You Register
This is one seminar delivered over two Saturdays. Weekend two builds directly on weekend one, so participants should plan to attend both Sabbaths.
Who can attend: Anyone who worships with us, high school age and older. Church membership is not required, and visitors are genuinely welcome.
Lunch: Provided both Sabbaths by our Women's Ministry, 12:30–1:15 PM, immediately following the worship service.
Childcare: Not available at this time. We are actively working on options and will update this page if that changes.
